The British Columbia government has introduced legislation to place new rules on controversial mega-mansions on Agriculture Land Reserve (ALR) farmland. It's an issue that has had a lot of locals worried that real estate speculation is squeezing out arable land and threatening food security. If passed, houses on ALR land will be limited to 5,400 square feet.
